Like many us are apprehensive on how come a person with soft exterior like Aravind Swamy can get into the skin of negative shaded character, but he surprised Tamil audience first as Siddharth Abhimanyu in ‘Thani Oruvan’ and repeated the same in Telugu with fresh hit ‘Dhruva.’
‘Actually, I too went with a general feeling… do I really have traits of negative character in me? I did everything opposite and it clicked. I tried to remain as good as possible in Siddharth Abhimanyu role. More the good I was, more pronounced was evilness in character. I do not want to be an antagonist with clichéd traits like drinking, smoking or anger. I think I achieved a most of it.
When I was again given the chance to plat Siddharth Abhimanyu for Telugu version, I was in dual minds. But, once I was made part of the creative process involved with many active discussions. At the same time, I was possessive about the role and could not say no to ‘Dhruva’ which again clicked,’ said Aravind Swamy in a chit chat with media friends.
