15 Minutes, Not Enough For Jayammu?

Common criticism and drawback pointed by viewers and critics after watching ‘Jayammu Nishchayammu Raa’ is the excessive runtime of nearly 2 hours 42 minutes. Apparently, Telugu audiences are showing interest to watch crisp and non-stop entertainers without much lags. From star heroes to budding heroes, the same formula is applicable. If you exceed the time limit and drag scenes beyond an elastic point, consider the film as gone.

‘Jayammu Nishchayammu Raa’ has got many such over-prolonged portions in its run. After taking the essential feedback from first day audience and critics at premier show, finally makers have decided to chop 15 minutes of tedious portions thus bringing the overall runtime to 2 hours 25 odd minutes.

What’s shocking is, a section of critics are calling for further curtailment because first half hasn’t got big entertainment. Although producer-director Shiva Raj Kanumuri won’t be happy with this verdict but passion at film making and commercial verdict may not go hand-in-hand. Certain discordant resolutions have to be taken in order to sustain the film’s run in competitive market.
