Cinejosh is here to reveal more information about this project. ‘Okkadu Migiladu’ is not a complete Sri Lankan civil war project. The film is divided into two halves. One runs in contemporary backdrop within India while flashback belongs to Sri Lanka and the secessionist nationalist insurgency ran from 1983 to 2009. Manoj played dual roles as that of a present day activist in India and a militant Prabhakaran in Sri Lanka.

Okkadu Migiladu’ is less of an extremist movie and more of an aggressive reaction from common man on the corrupt leadership and double dealing political decisions. Manoj plays the reflection of a Tamil refugee in Singhalese ruled Sri Lanka in the flashback and a contemporary common man raised the voice in amoral Indian society.
