‘Avatar’ nearing 100 crores mark in India.

The phenomenon success of ‘Avatar’ at Indian BO is surprising the trade pundits. It’s official now that Avatar is a landmark film in India. With the 3D version running in English and Hindi, everyone’s getting a chance to enjoy the film the way it should be.

As per Fox Star Studios, Avatar could eventually become the second-biggest film in India for 2009 and also feature among the top 10 grossers ever in India. Already crossed 96 crores of revenue, Avatar may set new and stiff targets in Indian cinema with a century crores for other Hollywood flicks to come.

Not just the gross, even Avatar has stood as inspiration for directors like Ramgopal Varma, Sanjay Gupta, Sajid Khan, Rakesh Roshan and others. Few are thinking of producing 3D movies in Hindi based on some Horror and thrilling concepts. Yes indeed, Avatar is a film that is a milestone in cinema history.
