Magadheera Vs Adurs: TV9 useless debate.

This program has come as a speed breaker for all regular TV viewers. It is none other than TV9 who has made this happen. It was a subjective debate with the title of ‘Magadheeraki Adurs’ which has been live telecasted in TV9 yesterday night and again today morning.

Mega Chiranjeevi fan Srikanth and Junior NTR fan Ravi participated in this event and their verbal war was between ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Adurs’ and will ‘Adurs’ break the records of ‘Magadheera’?

The discussion was so intense that at some levels, the subject was deviated and it looked like a debate on Ramcharan and Junior NTR. Ravi said that, “Ramcharan always had Chiranjeevi’s backup and ‘Magadheera’ is not a hero movie, it is the movie of Rajamouli and technical brilliance. On other side Junior NTR has none in the industry to pull him up. It was his hard work and dedication that made him the top hero.” As an answer to Ravi’s challenge, Srikanth was even furious stating that “100 Adurs will not be equal or even come near to Magadheera.” What a useless discussion…

If the discussion was such subject less with no direction, anchor Rajinikanth was all in the smiles enjoying the cat fight. Undoubtedly the debate went onto their personnel agendas and hero worship. Many wondered how can TV9 conduct these kinds of shows even without revealing of first week collections of ‘Adurs’?

Yes Rajinikanth was right that records are meant to be broken and it is for a good sign but in the name of records and collections, conducting of these kinds of debates is wrong. Making two hardcore fans of Ramcharan and Junior NTR sit opposite each other and compelling them to issue those statements which are perverted in nature may do irrepairable damage to the society. It always requires enormous cautiousness when dealing with these delicate subjects as it may promote hatred towards other heroes. Personally, I felt that these debates always send a wrong message into the hearts of hardcore fans.

Debates need to constructive and which do some favor or enlightenment to the people and society. How can “a society be better”, if media itself implant those seeds  that germinate opinion differences and hatred towards each other on silly and useless subjects?
