Indian Pacer Jumps into Politics!

Indian pace bowler Praveen Kumar is into a new avatar. Apart from cricket as his main profession, now he took up politics. Just ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, he joined the ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh by meeting CM Akhilesh Yadav.

‘I met CM and decided to join their party. His government is doing many welfare activities keeping UP on the track of development. He has done a lot for sports and sportsmen. Big stadiums are coming in and around Lucknow and Saifai. I decided to work with Samajwadi Party only after drawing inspiration from our CM,’ Praveen said.

Answering a question on whether he would be contesting in the coming elections, ‘I am a kid in this field. As of now I will try to learn politics. I will do whatever possible for the party,’ said the 29 year old cricketer.
