Evare Video Song: Not In Comparison With Malare

The beauty of original Malayalam ‘Premam’ is the sincerity and simplicity in romantically high pitched sensitive emotions. Thanks to Nivin Pauly and the rest of casting, the film emerged as a cult classic in contemporary Indian cinema. A remake of ‘Premam’ in Telugu isn’t a bad idea but the way it should be executed poses a challenge for director Chandoo Mondeti and hero Naga Chaitanya, heroine Shruti Hasan.

‘Evare’ song from Telugu ‘Premam’ released a few days back more or less managed to grip the soul in ‘Malare.’ However, on the occasion of Nagarjuna’s birthday falling today, makers have unveiled a video byte from ‘Evare’ song which isn’t really that effective. Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hasan as seen in the visuals were artificially plastic relative to naturally flowing Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi.

Agreed that comparisons at this point of time aren’t worth accepted, appreciative but when people are so familiar with ‘Malare,’ such juxtapositions are always possible. Moreover, beauty of ‘Malare’ lied in catching the local visuals. Chandoo Mondeti’s over-improvisation by touring the foreign locations canning ‘Evare’ song needlessly injected an unnecessary artificiality into the song. Let us see, how the overall film shaped up?
