Rustom Beats Mohenjo Daro Widely!

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ are the two movies released yesterday across the globe. Both the films generated huge pre release buzz and these heroes being ruling Bollywood stars, the excitement was high. While ‘Rustom’ is a crime mystery based on the real life story of Naval Officer KM Nanavati directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the most popular ancient history dating back to Indus Valley Civilization is the subject for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro.’ In a wide perspective, these movies are big on experimentation quotient.

Apparently, reviews for two were divided but Box Office response for ‘Rustom’ is reported to be too high comparative to ‘Mohenjo Daro’ in India. As per reports, ‘Rustom’ raked very big numbers of Rs. 14.11 Crores emerging as 4th biggest opener in 2016 just below ‘Sultan, Fan’ and ‘Housefull 3.’ In contrast, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ had a poor start recording Rs. 8.87 Crores standing at top 9 in 2016 list.

However, common point is both of them have to go a long way in order to achieve a hit status. Reaction from Overseas markets is also going to play crucial role in deciding the overall commercial verdict.
