Jyothi Lakshmi, the name is more than enough to create mischief in our hearts. In fact, she is considered as one of the first item song or say club song dancers in Southern cinema industry. Having acted in more than 300 films in Telugu and Tamil languages, Jyothi Lakshmi has been an inspiration for many dancers to make a wonderful life in glamour industry.

It is so sad to hear the news on Jyothi Lakshmi passed away today in Chennai. She is 63 years old and suffering with blood cancer from last few years. ‘Jyothi Lakshmi has been undergoing treatment for disease but passed away early in the morning,’ official reports from Chennai said.

She was last seen in Tamil adult comedy film ‘Tisha Illana Nayanathara’ which was also released in Telugu as ‘Trisha Leda Nayanathara.’ The present generation item song dancers will be forever indebted to Jyothi Lakshmi for carving a space to pose a threat even for star heroines.
