Directing Super Star Rajinikanth will be a life ambition for many talented directors. But only few are born blessed to bag such opportunity and Pa Ranjith is one among them. When Chennai media agencies questioned him to share the experiences of directing such a big star for ‘Kabali,’ this is what he said.
‘Actually I made some raw and realistic films Attakathi and Madras before. So, I had the pre-supposition on whether Rajini sir will accept ‘Kabali’ or not. Thankfully, ‘Kabali’ is a very strong character and Tamil migrant in Malaysia. He rises in image from nothing to a mafia don fighting against an endless oppression.
Working with Rajini sir is too easy. Whenever, there are cinematic dialogues in the flow, I would used to ask him for a slight tone down. At one time, he said: I am not an actor. Why are you making me do this? Fact is, Rajini sir is a great actor but he do not realize it,’ Ranjith said.
