Surya Never Cared For Telugu Version!

Tamil star hero Surya is a star in Telugu too. His films generate decent curiosity in Telugu states. There were instances when Surya’s new movies posed a challenge to Telugu Box Office. In one line, Surya plans all his Tamil movies to have dubbed version Telugu release. The proper care and attention taken by Surya towards promotions of prestigious film ‘24’ is very much known to all of us.     However the same hero seems to have never cared for his last release ‘Memu,’ which wasn’t a bad film at all. Inspired a lot from ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ this movie directed by Pandiraj had a purpose to educate parents and children on the fundamental flaws in our current educational system. Tamil original ‘Pasanga 2’ enjoyed an average Box Office run which could have been repeated in Telugu too.

Surya being one of the producers and share holder for Telugu version too, ‘Memu’ got its Telugu main investor changed thrice. Given the dry spell continuing at ticket counters from last three weeks, a minimal effort from Surya could have done marginal wonders for the film. Instead, majority of audience are left uninformed on ‘Memu’ release. Resultantly, Surya lost a good opportunity to get his bond with Telugu audience further cemented.
