SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film Baahubali starring Prabhas and Rana has grossed around Rs 600 crores worldwide. The film was exceptional in Hindi too with over 100 cr nett for full run. Bollywood star filmmaker Karan Johar who bought the rights had enjoyed huge profits. When the second part shooting is in midway, the film got a massive offer.
Actually, Karan Johar and few others were in the race, but as per latest reports, Bollywood top production house Yash Raj Films has offered Rs 150 crores for Baahubali 2 Hindi rights. If this news is true, then this is the ever biggest deal for a non-Bollywood film. This shows craze on the Baahubali franchise.
Currently, the production unit is canning an action sequences between Prabhas and Rana in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Since, the unit members are working hard in summer, Rajamouli has decided to give one month holidays. Post the holidays, they will shoot climax war episode. Entire production work is expected to be wrapped up by October and the movie is slated to hit the screens on April 14, 2017.
