'Police' Creative Freedom Curtailed

What are those police sentiments which are really hurt with the title of ‘Policeodu?’ As we all know, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s ‘Theri’ Telugu version is all set for a grand release tomorrow as ‘Policeodu.’ In fact, the title was registered well with common audience and first bunch of promotional posters have also gelled well in building the hype. However, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and Dil Raju’s decision proved wrong with this title.

According to official news, few of the AP, TS Police organizations have met Dil Raju personally and raised objections over the title of ‘Policeodu’ stating that their feelings are deeply hurt. Respecting their sentiments, Dil Raju communicated the same to production unit of ‘Theri’ in Chennai. ‘Now, Policeodu will be released as Police,’ said Dil Raju. 

Awarded with U certificate by Censor Board, ‘Police’ is likely to release tomorrow in theaters. While Samanta and Amy Jackson are heroines in the film, Atlee of ‘Raja Rani’ fame is the director. ‘Theri’ released today in Tamil Nadu has opened to super hit talk. Though it’s curtailing the creative freedom in Telugu cinema industry, let’s see… what happens with Telugu ‘Police’ tomorrow?
