Can Sardaar Touch 50 Crores?

The outstanding Box Office reaction from audience for ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ with day 1 collections beating top most records, the film has dropped heavily by first weekend itself. According to an update, ‘Sardaar’ revenues in AP and TS till Sunday have stood at approximately Rs.31 Crores. Among this total amount, Rs. 21 Crores are raked on day 1.

Of course, the numbers might be decent if analyzed from basic film standards but the name of Power Star makes all the difference. ‘Sardaar’ needs at least Rs. 90 Crores worldwide share to be declared as a hit which looks an impossible feat for now. Definitely, buyers are going to get deep buried in losses. 

‘Pawan Kalyan’s image alone isn’t above the content needed to call a film, real hit. Word of mouth negative publicity also shattered the audience turnouts at theaters. Going by the weak trend, ‘Sardaar’ might find its way tough even to touch Rs. 50 Crores mark,’ an analyst commented.
