CJ is the first channel to break the news about Pawan Kalyan is likely to interact with media only after ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ release. Now, it turned true because Power Star offered a personal interview to few of the news channels and papers as a part of ‘Sardaar’ post release promotions. During one such interaction, Pawan spoke some interesting lines on his future career, politics and differences with elder brother Mega Star Chiranjeevi.
‘After working on a film, I never think about how much it collected or how it performed. I give my best and just forget it. After ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi,’ there was no producer to work with me. I do not want producers who just invest money. I want those who can take up responsibility. This made me to become a story and screen writer for ‘Sardaar.’ I also love to work on movies with social awareness subjects.
Actually, I am in severe financial crisis. I am finding it hard to make both ends meet every month paying the staff salaries. Whatever may be the movie; I do my work and try to give my best but I feel nervous when expectations go unbalanced because I reached here after lot of struggles. Every time, people used to compare me with Annayya which used to make me tense. Commercially, Telugu cinema market has grown tremendously. Tamil cinema entered so deep into Telugu industry but Telugu cinema is still scared to get into Tamil industry.
About films, I can’t work more and run in hurry-burry. At the most, I will be doing two or three films more. I am already committed to SJ Suriya and Trivikram Srinivas projects. After two or three movies, I am planning to stop my work. The day when I come into full fledged politics, it could be a full stop for my cinema career.
Jana Sena would contest in 2019 elections both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. When I started Jana Sena, I did not think about Praja Rajyam because Annayya Chiranjeevi strongly believes in Congress ideology. For every word I spoke on behalf of Praja Rajyam, it was Chiranjeevi who has to take the authority because he is the leader of PRP. Now, I am free to express my opinions because Jana Sena is my own political party and I am liable to whatever I speak. On political terms, I have differences with Chiranjeevi but as a family, we have no differences.
About changing the political sides, I don’t encourage it. Only for the sake of power and personal benefits, no one should change their political stand. There should be a strong reason behind a political defection. So, I will never force my brother Chiranjeevi to join Jana Sena. Our party has been established with only motto to question. I am on implementation of party strategies right from this moment. So, I cannot say when I am going to stop working in films.
For Andhra Pradesh, I will definitely apply the pressure on Government for granting special status. I go forward my movement to achieve it. I strongly believe in one theory. People should not suffer for the mistakes committed by politicians. I also respect Telangana culture immensely. I always try to show that in my films. Culturally, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can never be one. So, whatever I do on politics, I inform the people first and then follow it. Before taking a decision, I think about it 100 times,’ Pawan Kalyan expressed his opinion.
