‘Oopiri’ is adjudged as a trendsetting South Indian film largely inspired from French hit ‘The Intouchables.’ The Telugu and Tamil version directed by Vamsy Paidipally and produced by Prasad V Potluri got unique positive feedback from South Indian audience. The casting of Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamanna added force to the commercial value and we still await for overall Box Office range of this flick.
On the other side, ‘Oopiri’ might face a blatant group attack from nearly 10 films of different categories hitting the screens on April 1. Every producer is willing to capitalize on early summer season before ‘Sardaar’ lands in market. So, this is the only one week at disposal and we are here to see a mad rush.
The group to attack ‘Oopiri’ includes, ‘Attack’ from RGV, ‘Savithri’ from Nara Rohit, ‘Appudala Ippudila’ from Surya Tej, Aarthi Agarwal’s last film ‘Aame Evaru,’ a thriller ‘Road Trip,’ Vineet ‘Pigudu,’ Kola Bhaskar’s ‘Ninnu Vadili Nenu Polenule,’ horror thriller ‘7 To 4,’ Dhanush’s ‘Mass,’ Sharwanand’s ‘Rajadhiraja’ followed by other language releases like ‘Kung Fu Panda 3, The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Ki And Ka’ and ‘MA Pass.’ We need to wait and see, how minimal ‘Oopiri’ would be diverted from its success path with this attack?
