Director AR Murugadoss is familiar to entire Indian cinema for stupendous hits which always touches current social issues with message driven scripts. One such story and script written by Muruga for Tamil hero Siva Karthikeyan turned out to be a surprise hit in Kollywood. Rehashing the same Muruga’s script for Telugu version would have been safe but to add those typical Telugu audience demanding ingredients, Kumar Nagendra met Muruagdoss to get his valuable inputs. ‘He recommended me to change the complete love track which was thin in Tamil and a little bulk for Telugu version. Even on emotional front and climax, I made sure the effect is still more packed. While Tamil version had runtime of nearly 160 minutes, I curtailed ‘Thuntari’ to just 120 minutes crisply,’ Kumar Nagendra said in an interview today.

‘Thuntari’ has Latha Hegde reprising the heroine role of Hansika Motwani while Kabir Duhan Singh is playing the character done by Vamsi Krishna in original. ‘Thuntari’ is releasing into theaters on 11th of this month.
