Krishnashtami Mints 6 Crore!

Sunil and Dil Raju combination film ‘Krishnashtami’ released last Friday is actually beaten black and blue by critics with poor ratings. Director Vasu Varma is also immensely criticized for the very poor handling of an outdated story, script which also served disadvantage in Sunil losing his facial charm. All these drawbacks should have cumulatively suffered the film at Box Office but thanks to Dil Raju’s hold on theatrical network, he is passing with decent revenues.

As per reports from trade sources, ‘Krishnashtami’ collected 6 Crores share by its first weekend. Below is the breakup day wise (approximately):

Day 1         2.54 Croores

Day 2         1.50 Crores

Day 3         1.96 Crores      

Total          6.00 Crores

It would be more interesting to see how far Telugu audience would rush to theaters on week days from today onwards. Box Office numbers for next two to three days would decide on the film’s overall business status.
