The main reason why ‘Krishnashtami’ got a beating from critics’ side is because of poor story and outdated screenplay format used by director Vasu Varma. At the same time, one does not know how Dil Raju gave approval for this project when Kona Venkat is very much in team? Well, here comes the most justifiable answer.
‘Krishnashtami’ is a project first narrated to Allu Arjun nearly 2 to 3 years ago. It was Gopichand Malineni thought of directing the flick. When Bunny did not finalize this project owing to different creative judgmental reasons, Gopichand flew on to ‘Pandaga Cheso’ and ‘Krishnashtami’ script lied dormant for few months. However, Dil Raju showed trust on this story then roped in Sunil, Vasu Varma. Later on time passed by and the product was ready by last year itself. Due to strong opposition from star heroes’ films queued every time in every month, Dil Raju pushed the film till last week.
‘Krishnashtami’ would have fared better if it was released long ago much before ‘Pandaga Chesko’ and other Kona template films. May be Dil Raju was right during those times but long delays in release finally disappointed us.
