Dil Raju’s camp is a blessed temple for new talents. We have seen many directors from Boyapati Srinu to Vamsy Paidipally and many new talents taking their birth in Dil Raju compound. However, majority of them have today succeeded to make a stand of their own and doing super hit films with star heroes. Apparently, Dil Raju believes that he made a mistake with two of those talents and they are Venu Sriram, Vasu Varma.
‘As a producer, I am responsible for whatever the final commercial applause a film gets. I am very happy with the name and fame secured by Bommarillu Bhaskar, Vamsy Paidipally and others who went out from my compound after getting a break here. But, I always feel mistaken about two. They are Venu Sriram and Vasu Varma.
Vasu is enormously talented person who have been journeying with me from ‘Dil’ times. I know his talent. But, as a producer it was my mistake that I could not find out the negatives in them when agreed for ‘Oh My Friend’ with Venu and ‘Josh’ with Vasu. If I identified their negatives, then I could have turned them into positives. So, I consider their failures as my mistakes. Now, I am trying to correct them,’ Dil Raju said when elaborating the experience on finalizing the ‘Krishnashtami’ project.
