Only Madhavan, Not The Film

One more most awaited Bollywood movie of the year, ‘Saala Khadoos’ from versatile hero Madhavan in direction of Sudha Kongara Prasad has hit the screens worldwide yesterday. The film had built lot of expectations with those most promising trailers and the pre release hype was surely worth anticipated. In fact the movie was loosely based on few real life incidents and when Raj Kumar Hirani brand added the value, ‘Saala Khadoos’ appeared very big.

Obviously comparisons were drawn between ‘Saala Khadoos’ with ‘Chak De, Mary Kom’ and all those films made in sports backdrop. However, the final output in Box Office terms is said to be not what it was promised. Early reports say that, ‘Saala Khadoos’ is a run-of-the-mill product which explores the relation between coach and student.

Except Madhavan and his performance as disgruntled coach running away with top credits, the movie overall got below average to average ratings. Now it is to be wait and seen, how far Maddy alone can pull the film at ticket counters given a fact that plot lacked in conviction with execution flaws becoming major drawbacks.
