Varun Tej is by no means a regular Mega camp hero with mass image and immense mass following. He is a versatile artist first and then a star hero in grooming stages. ‘I do not want to restrict myself in an image trap. That is the reason why, I am trying to improve myself with each film, selecting different range of scripts and characters. I do not wish to see myself as a star hero. I just want to be a sincere artist,’ Varun says.
Meanwhile Varun’s new movie ‘Loafer’ releasing tomorrow in direction of Puri Jagannath is also one more new intense characterization hasn’t tried till now. ‘Loafer is altogether a new format of commercial story which isn’t tried in past. Puri sir helped me to get into skin of my character because I joined ‘Loafer’ in less than one week gap after completion of ‘Kanche.’ So, this is a learning experience for me,’ Varun adds.
‘Loafer’ is a film based on strong mother-son sentiment with protagonist characterization typically written in Puri style. Produced by C Kalyan, this movie introduces Disha Patani as new heroine.
