Pawan Kalyan’s row of tweets urging the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu not to invoke Land Acquisition Act on riverfront farmers in Krishna district demonstrated his concern for the sufferings of farmers but at the same time, Pawan’s inability to trace out a solution for the same problem is highly criticized in TDP political circles. The Jana Sena chief restricted him-self to put his feelings out on Twitter with no solid alternatives suggested against TDP policy for Amaravathi construction.
‘The actor should advice substitute methods to acquire the land for new capital. If not by Land Acquisition Law, how can Government rake up the needed land for building a world class capital? We cannot leave vacant spaces in the capital design plan and go for construction. Land bank is very important for Amaravathi. How would have Film Studios like Annapurna, Rama Naidu come up in Hyderabad without the availability of Land? We cannot build a capital on thin air like Trishanku Swargam created by Vishwa Mithra,’ questioned Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.
Naidu Government has set August 20 deadline that is today for farmers to voluntarily join the Land Pooling scheme designed else they are to invoke Land Acquisition Law forcibly arm-twisting the farmers and then take command over the fertile lands.
