'Srimanthudu' in Danger With 'Bahubali'

Not just the National media, it’s even the International media covered their special episodes on ‘Bahubali.’ This has not just raised the standards of Telugu cinema but lifted Tollywood to the scale of Hollywood. Should we feel happy with this or start behaving insecure when every big Telugu movie from top stars is put on comparison with ‘Bahubali’ like what has happened in post ‘Magadheera’ scenario.

The next big film to fall in the line of ‘Bahubali’ is Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu.’ When makers of this film are planning a similar Box Office sketch as followed by ‘Bahubali,’ automatically entire Nation is keeping a watch on Mahesh Babu, who is already a recognizable star in Mumbai circles. 

It’s hard for anyone to create historical films like ‘Magadheera’ or ‘Bahubali’ again and again. Agreed that Rajamouli is showing a promising sense but this time it is not Jakkanna or Prabhas and it’s not as massive as 200 Crores because the genre and quality of ‘Srimanthudu’ is different. Taking it optimistically, let us hope that ‘Srimanthudu’ escapes easily from ‘Bahubali’ mania and also provides us a respite.
