These days, star heroes have begun a new format of business by becoming the production partners for their respective films. By rejecting the old and traditional method of pocketing the demanded remuneration, heroes are looking on a broader scale by becoming the trade partners with their producers. Yes, first get the movie ready for release without paying single pie to your hero. Then, the accounts would be settled with a share in net collections (do not say profits) to be deposited into hero’s bank account.
As per a report from film circles, Mahesh Babu is following the same formula for ‘Srimanthudu’ by becoming the partner in production under the banner name of G Mahesh Babu. He is all calculated to earn at least 18 Crores with this film as per a deal with Mythri Movie Makers. This would not only benefit the producers from initial, risky high investment but would also pull Mahesh Babu to concentrate on curtailing the production costs.
If at all Mahesh Babu’s actual remuneration is totaled to be 15 Crores per single film, he will be still a minimum of 3 Crores in additional profit with ‘Srimanthdu’ deal. That’s an intelligent move indeed.
