'Bahubali' is the biggest of release, Telugu cinema has ever seen in history. So, commercial calculations and trade manipulations are sitting in front for producers and director SS Rajamouli so as to make entire world have a look at Indian cinema's stamina. As a part of creating new records on trade front, they are playing with the idea of influencing Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governments to hike the ticket prices. If reports are to be believed, Rajamouli and Shobhu are to meet Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and KTR to forward the proposal on to CM Kcr table.
Having heard this news from movie circles, some of the confidential members of TRS have reported us that Kcr is not that easy to crack to accept the plan of 'Bahubali' team. Of course, Kcr has many times reaffirmed his government's friendly policy to expand the flourishing of Telugu cinema and its development to be rooted only in Hyderabad. 'Yet, this does not mean to put the extra burden of ticket prices on audience for any reason,' the political sources added.
'Bahubali' is a 100+ or may be 200 Crores venture. It may not be appropriate on the part of producers to propose the increase in ticket rates at their will. Currently, Tollywood is facing the lethal criticism of monopoly in distribution and exhibition business by a set of four big wigs. Kcr is also unhappy with lack of support to TRS from cine circles during the last elections time, he may not extend any sops to film industry in near future. Let us see, how good is 'Bahubali' team in manipulating the Kcr policies?
