Hot Heroine Rises Market Bar

After the disappearance of Vijaya Shanti from female centric roles, there is a dearth in heroine oriented scripts and films. Entry of Charmi reinvented this trend and she went on doing more and more films in this genre. Her story selection was definitely different from present day heroines who went only on commercial lines. Truly, Charmi gained in stardom only with such brave pickups. In contrast, she lost the market in no time and patrons were also bored watching Charmi in stereotyped characters.     

Director Puri Jagannath and producer C Kalyan are betting big on Charmi with the film of 'Jyothi Lakshmi' currently in final post production stages getting ready for a grand release with in this last days of summer season. After the first look and birthday teaser of Charmi 'Jyothi Lakshmi' released into market, there is an unprecedented buildup on the film. Critics might not have pleased with the teaser but it is the pulse of common audience, Puri definitely got right with.

If reports are to be believed, 'Jyothi Lakshmi' pre release business is in full swing with C Kalyan receiving lots of calls. Vizag area theatrical rights are in final stages of closure with 1 Crore offered. This is too high from Charmi and market point of view. She is rising the market bar and Puri would be the major reason to attribute for any profits C Kalyan enjoys.
