Hyderabad,Dec 16: The volte-face by Praja Rajyam Party led by actor-turned politician K Chiranjeevi concerning the party's Telangana stance, angered pro-Telangana activists who on Wednesday attacked cinema halls screening Arya-2 starring Allu Arjun, son of Allu Arvind,brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi.The activists opposing the change in PRP stand, attacked theatres and removed the cut-outs of the film featuring petite actress Kajal Agrawal at Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Warangal.
The activists tore down the posters and banners of the film and vowed not to allow screening of any film of Chiranjeevi or that of his family members in the Telangana region.They also stoned some theatres exhibiting Chiranjeevi films and Arya-2 in parts of Telangana.Some theatre owners in Telangana region exhibiting Chiru’s and his relatives' films have voluntarily closed their cinema halls protesting against the stand taken up by the PRP leader.The TRS activists also raised slogans against Chiranjeevi and his relatives.
