Not as Profitable as First Part

Small and medium budget films always have a big scope to do many wonders at BO, if at all they are dealt properly. Along with comedy based entertainment, there is also one more genre of thriller/horror which is more attracting the film makers these days. Best example of ‘Avunu’ from Suresh Babu and PVP Cinema directed by Ravi Babu was wrapped in a budget less than 1.2 Crores to reap profits of at least 10 Crores. These are voluminous figures for any film and say any business.

Success of ‘Avunu’ resulted in planning of a sequel ‘Avunu 2’ jointly produced by Suresh Babu and Ravi Babu. Although critics and verdict of common audience is not as encouraging as ‘Avunu’ but makers are made sure to reap solid profits again, of course not on par with the first installment. Anyways, Ravi Babu, Suresh Babu knows how to cash on craze of a particular brand and they did it on Poorna.
