Anil Kapoor debuted into film industry with his first Telugu film of ‘Vamsa Vruksham’ released all the way in 1980 was directed by Bapu. Speaking on this, Anil said ‘today I am here because of Bapu. His contribution to my career is invaluable and significant. After ‘Vamsa Vruksham,’ I worked with him again in ‘Woh Saat Din.’ These two films designed my career. 

He is my mentor and teacher. Though I worked with world’s best directors, still Bapu is the best among all of them. I learnt acting tricks from him.’
