This is the rare feat that happens very few a times in the current world scenario. Oscar award winning brilliance Ar Rehman will soon set to sing the Annamayya keerthanas for TTD.
For the first time ever, the country’s premier Hindu temple is planning to approach Ar Rehman to compose keertanas for its traditional songs. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is contemplating of approaching the Oscar winning musician to give his midas touch to 14th century lyrics penned by Telugu and Sanskrit poet Thallapaka Annamacharya, popularly known as Annamayya, praising Lord Venkateswara, say an official of TTD board.
TTD trust board chairman Adikeshavulu Naidu has mooted the proposal and a decision to approach Ar Rehman would be taken only after further consultations. “How can a man with ethics like Ar Rehman drop out from this divine proposal? He will render his service to Lord of the Lords Sri Venkateshwara without expecting anything in return,” an official said. So, it is going to be “Jai Ho Tirupathi” from Annamayya and Ar Rehman.
