Cricketer's Ex Wife Into Movies

Although she is an actress first, later she married Mohammed Azharuddin, top cricketer of her times to settle in life but later divorced. She is none other than Sangita Bijilani, the former beauty queen has announced to make a comeback into films. It happened nearly two decades or so, Sangita kept her-self busy with non filmy business assignments. Her last film was releases some time in 1996 accepted the new project titled as ‘Shab’ to be produced and directed by Onir.

‘This comeback is not preplanned. Actually I met Onir nearly one year ago through a common friend of both. Of course, there are many offers flowing before me from various directors but I am not impressed with their stories and scripts. Onir approached me with the story of ‘Shab’ and he just wanted me to read the script once and I am just hooked. I play a powerful diva in the movie,’ Sangita said expressing joy on beginning the second innings.
