Ram Charan starrer Magadheera, based on reincarnation of the soul, has influenced Chandrasekhar,a college student so much so that he committed suicide after watching the film 25 times. The student from Karnataka committed suicide near Kolar, believing he would be reborn again.Should the film-makers takeonus for such incidents? Commenting on the incident,Magadheera script-writer Vijayendra Prasad says "I feel sad about the student's decision. But it happens occasionally. We don't have bad intentions...we just try to make the story effective." He says the audience should know that film stories revolve round mythology and fiction."Weak-minded people kill themselves, but filmmakers can't be responsible for such acts,"he clarified.

Magadheera is a love story that involves two loram vers. The hero is reborn and is united with his love. With a budget of Rs 45 crore,it is the most expensive Telugu film ever. The Kolar College student who emulated his hero also performed a secret ritual. He then visited Hyderabad to see his hero in real life,Ram Charan Teja, but went back disappointed.Film-makers who make such films do not even regret about such tragic incidents. They think such acts help provide more publicity to their films.Instead, they term such acts as ‘‘immature’’.
