With development in technology and people’s awareness, producers and directors are availing the services at their disposal to get maximum promotional advantage. Currently, Praveen Sattaru directed ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ had its audio release function held yesterday but the point of difference is, instead of releasing the audio CDs, they have released the songs directly on Youtube. As a gesture of saying Good Bye to CDs, they have thrown a bunch of CDs in dustbin.

Madhura Sreedhar of Madhura Audio Company is a seriously disturbed man with such happenings at the occasion. ‘Very sad to see the way people bid farewell to best n cheapest medium of data. Fact is CDs still constitute 15% of revenue. If something is not useful now, we don't need to express like this. History is to be respected, not to be thrown in dustbins. I still feel so nostalgic when I see gramophone records or cassettes. I am sure we never expressed our displeasure on records and cassettes when we moved to CDs. We silently moved on to CDs,’ Madhura said. Adapting the technology is not a problem because we need to get updated but at the same time showing disrespect towards the past is not a good move indeed.
