Basanti - Operation Success, Patient Dead

If the attempt of Brahmanandam with ‘Basanti’ was to reinvent the new skill in his son Raja Gautham and make him stand as hero in the Tollywood top competition, then he is successful to large extent. After the pathetic show in ‘Vaareva’ and ‘Pallakilo Pellikoothuru,’ this movie of ‘Basanti’ is a sigh of relief if artic development in Raja Gautham is considered. But from commercial point of view, ‘Basanti’ may not be a feasible product to go all out to become a blockbuster hit.

Directors like Chaitanya Dantuluri are worthwhile persons who can revive new thoughts in today’s standards of film making and story selection. ‘Basanti’ falls into the same genre because mixing of romance with terrorism is an adventurous risk. To make it commercially a viable product, there needed still more genuine efforts. Anyways, we need to wait for few more days to see how far ‘Basanti’ would meet the Telugu BO levels?
