Police misbehave with Media at Children’s festival.

It is once again the overanxious nature of our State police over the Media. Media which went in large numbers to cover the closing ceremony of International Children’s Film Festival event at Lalitha Kalathoranam, Hyderabad was misbehaved by Police.

Police personnel are reported to have mishandled a “Sakshi” reporter and cameraman. As a gesture of support to this “Sakshi” reporter, whole of the media boycotted the event without coverage.

Finally, Film Development Council Chairman Parthasarathi has pledged the media to excuse the Police and cover the event as usual. With pressure from even the top officials, media people once again entered Lalithakala Thoranam to give the live coverage of the event after boycotting the event for half an hour.
