Why Sekhar Kammula Accepted 'Anamika'?

More than a director Sekhar Kammual is socially an enlightened personality who can speak and react on every happening in society. Best subject which people knew more about of him is his respect for women. All the way from ‘Anand’ till ‘Anamika,’ he showcased heroines not as glamour dolls but as independent living and self respect loving citizens. 

The main reason why Sekhar accepted ‘Anamika’ is the characterization and depth of intensity in main lead heroine done by Vidya Balan in ‘Kahaani’ and now Nayanathara in ‘Anamika.’ As per story of Hindi version, Nayan has to react on a terror incident in society which kills plenty of population. So, this subject mainly pivots around an intelligent heroine fighting against many odds and evil forces around us in various forms.
