35 Years to Chiru's Debut Film 'Pranam Khareedu'

Megastar Chiranjeevi's debut film 'Pranam Khareedu' was released on 22nd September, 1978 and completed 35 years of  its release on 22nd September,2013. This is not only a special day for Chiranjeevi but also for Telugu cinema, as Chiranjeevi turned out to be the face of Telugu cinema in the later years. In fact, Chiranjeevi first accepted the project 'Punadiraallu'. However, the delay in the shoot of the movie resulted 'Punadiraallu' as the 7th movie of Chiranjeevi in chronological order. 

Reshmi Roy paired up with Chiranjeevi in 'Pranam Khareedu'. A duet song 'Eriyallo eriyallo' song was shot on Chiranjeevi and Reshmi Roy. Popular song 'Yathamesi thodinaa, yeru endadu' belonged to 'Pranam Khareedu'. Chakravarthi scored the music of the film. K.Vasu directed this movie while Kranthi Kumar produced it.
