Apparently, the run time of ‘Toofan’ is very short near to 120 minutes but what went wrong in making this short span of time a head breaking experience for audience in theatres. It is the matching of nativity. Never in ‘Toofan,’ do we sense the flavor of Telugu nativity. For most of the time, ‘Toofan’ looked like a Hindi to Telugu dubbed version. More than this, the way scenes, songs and action episodes go one by one with introduction of all the characters seemed like a mechanical process with no emotional quotient elevated.

One man who needs to answer this will be Yogi, the script coordinator of ‘Toofan’ who worked in tandem with ‘Zanjeer.’ Yes, he is the same man who directed ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ for Venkatesh. One strong reason on why ‘Toofan’ remained unconnected or close to the hearts of Telugu audience is just due lack of nativity in the script.
