Ramgopal Varma Against His Biopic!?

Maverick Ramgopal Varma stood always open to criticism. He might have been the trend setting and phase changing film maker for Indian cinema but at the same Varma suffered badly in the hands of critics for directing and producing worst ever seen movies of film industry. But, he is still an inspiration for many and that is what made director Ratna Chary to do a script on life of RGV which is titled as ‘Nenu Nene Ramune’ starring politician Srisailam Yadav’s son Sai Venkat as hero.

‘I met Ramgopal Varma thrice before starting the project and informed him on showcasing the positive, negative shades. He was sportive and agreed for. But, he is busy with other script works could not spare enough time to watch his biopic. This movie is a tribute to RGV’s glorious two decade long career. RGV is a brand with its own following which will sell my movie,’ says director Ratna Chary.
