SRK Gains on Vijay's Miss

Generally patronage of South audience, especially from Tamil audience towards Hindi movies is very sparse. When there are direct Tamil releases against big flicks from Bollywood, even then Tamil viewers tilt towards their own films rather than enjoying the other language films. This time the situation was changed with star hero Vijay dropped from the race. 

‘Thalaivaa’ which was actually set for grand release on 9th of August in nearly 460 screens of Tamil Nadu has faced the political pressures to get the screenings stopped. Utilizing the opportunity was Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’ rocked the Box Office with never seen numbers. Both in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, Bollywood Baadshah SRK is roaring loud. From the first two days of figures in AP and TN, SRK raked nearly 4.5 Crores along with premiers screened a day before.
