Kollywood's Great Lyricist Vaali Is No More

One of the great lyricists of Tamil cinema, Vaali, breathed his last on Thursday, 18th of July in a private hospital in Chennai. He had been suffering from lungs ailment for one month. He is 81 and is survived by a son. He started his career as a lyricist in the year 1958 and worked with many technicians and the superstars for three generations.This great poet and lyricist wrote around 10,000 songs in Tamil. He has acted in the movies such as 'Satya' and 'Heyram'. He was honoured as Padmasri by the Government of India. The CM of Tamil Nadu, Ms Jayalalitha, former CM Karunanidhi, Tamil superstars Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan paid condolences to this great lyricist.
