Mixed Responses on 'Shadow'

Victory Venkatesh's stylish action entertainer 'Shadow' hit the screens on 26th April across the state. The movie has opened with good crowds everywhere and has received mixed talk at the end of its morning shows. This movie has been canned as another under world mafia based entertainer. The first half of the movie was filled with good number of action sequences. The parody of 'Gabbar Singh's anthyakshari scene in the first half generated good laughs. Venkatesh was seen in 'Gabbar Singh's getup in this scene. MS Narayana shouldered the job of producing humour and he was succeeded partially in it. Even Venkatesh also did  good part of comedy as he acted like a child in some of the scenes, as per the story.

However, the story of the movie is highly predictable with no twists and turns in it. The narration was slowed down in second half to some extent. Taapsi was restricted to songs and a few scenes. However, she was as usually gorgeous at her looks, especially, in bikini scene. The music of Thaman appeared to be mediocre. The producers shelled in big amounts and it was seen clearly on screen.  On a whole, we have to wait for some more days to know the box office fate of the movie.
