Mani uses Legal Route for 'Kadali'

'Kadali' in Telugu and 'Kadal' in Tamil was a film directed by Maniratnam is declared unanimously a flop everywhere. There were reports on Tamil distributors losing huge money and having approached Mani for replayment of a share of their losses. However, the star director did not hear to the requests because movie's world-wide rights are sold to a big company with in the first schedule of shooting.

Now, Mani has sued distributor Mannan for raising false allegations against him. He is the same distributor who filed complaint with police against the director demanding repayment for distribution losses faced. In return, Mani too roped in his lawyer Abudu Kumar to sue Mannan for defamatory remarks made. 'The case is filed suiing Mannan for Rs. 5 Crores as he damaged our director's reputation. Madras High Court has also sent notices to restrain Mannan from entering into Mani's office or residence,' the media reports claimed.
