Failed Controversy for 'Naayak'

Controversies are free promotion tools for any movie. Not an exaggeration but it is true that some of the small and medium budgeted or for that matter big players also search for some sort of controversies to get linked for their movies in order to gain free publicity. Never to mention Ramgopal Varma in speail under this category. However, 'Naayak' which would have got plenty of such focus with ex MLA Gandi Babjee raising a voice against director Vinayak and producer DVV Danayya for allegedly naming their villain character after his name.

However, there was no sufficient media attention on this epiosde and Gandi Babji's comments weren't given any significance. Finally, Babji was satisfied with the explanation of Vinayak recently and the issue is closed once for all. So, 'Naayak' has no controversies to cash upon because the title dispute related to a case from Girijan students is also addressed by Censor board much before the release.
