Entire India and in particular South India is debating on the subject of what could be the influence of Kamal Hasan's 'Vishwaroopam' release in DTH TVs on the business scenario of Indian cinema? As Kamal thinks so differently, some would have seen this as a no wonder. But, theater guilds in Tamil Nadu and Kerala have passed a stringent order to ban the release of 'Vishwaroopam' in any of these cinema halls in the two states.

'They should know that DTH covers only 2 per cent of a city's total population. Can a picture of Lord Venkateshwara at our home stop the devotees from visting Tirumala? 'Vishwaroopam' release on DTH is also the same,' Kamal justifies his decision.

However, Tollywood seems to have no problem in giving as many theatres as Kamal demands for a grand theatrical release of movie. In fact, this is a bold move through which producer's are exploting new avenues to recover their investments.
