Director's 'Kojja' Love

Director Raghava Lawrence hasn’t really come out of his old kicking success of ‘Kanchana.’ The same hangover has continued into yesterday’s release of ‘Rebel’ where in he wrapped up the film as a complete action entertainer with no justification for emotions. While the mixed or one sided negative reviews might damage the film for a while, complete commercial verdict could be possible only when ‘Rebel’ crosses second week.

But before all these, the one action episode in the movie which comes in second half where in villain Pradeep Rawat ropes in Bihari goons to kill Krishnam Raju is both hilarious and equivalently powerful. Yes, a number of rowdies dressed like ‘Kojja’ (Eunuch) in ‘Kanchana’ will fight ferociously with Prabhas before a Kalika Matha statue. The episode was brilliantly picturized and Lawrence has shown his love for Kojjas once again.
