Arati Thokka: The New Tollywood Concept

Like what our legendary poet Sri Sri said, ‘Kaadedi Kavithaku Anarham,’ similarly our Telugu film directors are re-discovering the line as ‘Kaadedi Cinema Kathaku Anarham.’ Like ‘Aggi Pulla…Sabbu Billa’ for Sri Sri, now it is ‘Arati Thokka’ creativity for our Telugu film directors. Yes, a recent finding in two of the newly released movies is ‘Arati Thokka’ (Banana Peel) played a crucial role in deciding their BO fate. 

One among them is ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ where Puri used ‘Arati Thokka’ to decide the entire progress of film’s story from Scene One to The End. Of course, Banana proved unlucky for Puri as audience failed to digest the Peel. Second one is ‘Sudigadu’ and the particular scene of spoofing Omkar’s dance show ‘Aata’ provided tremendous humor to audience and is regarded as highlight of the movie. This episode runs around the dance performance of ‘Allari’ Naresh eating Banana followed by the argumentation between Posani and Siva Shankar Master is considered as best entertaining scene. Yes, Bheemaneni was lucky as Naresh ate the ‘Peel’ leaving the sweet Banana for audience.
