‘David Billa,’ the dubbed Telugu version of Tamil ‘Billa 2’ is reported to have opened for huge crowds in Andhra Pradesh. Although, movie has got a divided verdict from critics, it’s the style and brand value of ‘Billa’ seems to have done the trick for film makers. CJ Shobha of SVR Media who presented the Telugu version is proud to say that ‘David Billa’ collected Rs.3 Crores on the first day, an impressive show by a dubbing film and that too for a hero like Ajith with no big market in Telugu. Of course, they have ‘Eega’ standing tall in opposition.

In Tamil, obviously Ajith is the ‘Power Star’ of openings and he is one hero who always threatens the range of Super Star Rajinikanth has secured brilliant openings all over the world for ‘Billa 2.’ In fact, Ajith’s last flick ‘Mankatha’ was a super duper record breaking movie in Tamil while Telugu ‘Gambler’ was a dud. Let us see, how far Ajith’s market will save CJ Shobha in Telugu.
