Mallu babe Asin after proving herself in South has got a good launch pad in Bollywood with Allu Aravind’s ‘Ghajini.’ As movie was a run away hit joining Rs.100 Crore club, offers flowed at her feet but the intelligent heroine wrongly selected ‘London Dreams’ as second only to face a humiliating flop. However, third and fourth outings in B-town with ‘Ready’ and ‘Housefull 2’ again made Asin, a lucky star with both crossing Rs.100 Crore mark.
This time, Asin’s dual role in ‘Bol Bachchan’ isn’t welcomed the same. In spite of presence of Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and comedy specialist director Rohit Shetty leading from the front, ‘Bol Bachchan’ opened to weak collections. Trade reports from south cine circles say that ‘Eega’ gave a tough competition to Asin in South as audience preferred to enjoy the sci-fi entertainer rather than a comic-caper. Result is, collections for 'Bol Bachchan' are pathetically weak in South. Unluckily, Rajamouli and his ‘Eega’ disturbed the record of Asin making her miss the hat-trick chance of joining the 100 Cr club.
